Abstract:
Giorgio is a man aged 57, with severe scoliosis in the lumbar spine who has been recognized a disability by 70%. Despite the severe disability, Giorgio has always worked in the field of agriculture and landscaping, but now works as a warehouse keeper in a hospital and is responsible for preparing material to send to different departments. The major risk factors lie in the handling of loads, linked to the pathology of the spine, and in the inadequate environment. In this short presentation potential risks arising from the performance of this particular work are highlighted, as well as the suitable design solution making the workplace more secure and protected.
