International Alliance of Assistive Technology Information Providers
The International Alliance of Assistive
Technology Information Providers was established through a Memorandum of
Understanding signed in Dublin on September 2, 2003, whereby the 7 founding
organisations voluntarily committed to work towards a network approach so as to
capitalise on each other experience, harmonize methods, provide wider coverage,
achieve best practice in usability & accessibility, extend the users’ base
internationally, in the whole offer the highest standard of service to the
systems’ users.
The Alliance’s chair rotates among the member
organisations on an annual basis. Current chair (until 31.12.2004) is SIVA
Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi.
