If you have an illness or disorder which might require emergency assistance during the night it is possible to install an alarm. This is one which is worn around the neck to give you the maximum range. It is also possible to have one which is worn around the waist, but this has a shorter range.

For many people it is very important to have a personal alarm device with them whilst they are moving around. There are different kinds of alarm available - one of them is a button which can be carried with you in the bath, for example. Here the alarm is worn around the neck and you can carry it with you everywhere you go. It is also possible to wear a wrist-worn device, but these have a shorter transmitting range. If the button is pressed the alarm will be activated and a call for assistance made via the telephone system.
