(text automatically translated from Italian) The idea of this project is born ***dall' the requirement, always increasing, of having greater spaces to disposition for the Service of Occupational Therapy (***T.O.) and the Service Assistive devices, which carry out a fundamental role in the rehabilitative procedure of the person. The present project previews the creation, inside of the structure in examination, a new environment that recreates situations similar to those of daily life (i.e. assisted kitchen and bath), in which the patient it can experience with the own limits and the own abilities, always in continuity with the own needs, interests and expectations. The operating ones of the Service will be able therefore to estimate the patient during the development of activity of daily life, identifying the type of more suitable assistive devices in order to improve the independence degree and of integration in the society, it is familiar or cultural it. The patient will be able to experience the suitable assistive devices to its requirements, to choose between they what more she satisfies it, to be educated to the independence and trained to the use of assistive devices in phase of stay in hospital hospital worker and the relatives they will be able to acquire and still to verify their abilities to management and attendance. Moreover an extension of the Service of ***T.O to territorial level is favorable. It will be possible in this way to follow the patient ***dalla the first phase of identification of the need to its solution and to have a reply on the real one I use of the assistive device, thanks to periodicals follow-up directly in the environment in which the patient alive every day.
