Abstract:
Nadia is a woman aged 37 who, after a car accident occurred in 2002, remained paraplegic. The disability has been recognized by 100%. As Nadia can no longer teach physical education, she works part time as a clerk and lives in a rented flat she adapted for herself. Although Nadia has already introduced many devices to carry on housework independently, inadequacies and potential risks linked to her home accessibility are highlighted, as well as the suitable design solution making the house more secure and protected also as a workplace.
