SIMO simulates the experience of sitting and pushing a wheelchair in different circumstances and configurations, thus allowing the optimal wheelchair configurations for each patient to be identified. A medical professional or rehabilitation technician using SIMO can better guide a patient to sit correctly, while the patient pushes and experiences their future wheelchair in virtual reality in different locations and on different surfaces.
