A product that is no longer produced will not be removed from the SIVA databases but will be moved to the archive of "discontinued products". Then it can be retrieved by means of an "advanced products search" by clicking on "include discontinued products". This is because the product - although discontinued - may still be in use by somebody. In case the manufacturer no longer exists or can't be identified, the product record reads {NO LONGER PRODUCED}
