Abstract:
First, the lecture discussed the ageing process, the most common disabling conditions associated to ageing, and the possible preventive measures in terms of lifestyles and environmental conditions. Second, the lecture describes examples of assistive technology solutions and environmental adaptations that can be implemented to better maintain independence or support sustainability of assistance. Finally, the lecture discusses some typical problems related to dementia and indicates possible solutions through improvement of the physical daily life environment
